News Alert! 5 states extend lockdown; Jammu & Kashmir, Assam impose a curfew

In a bid to flatten the second COVID-19 wave in the country, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab and many more states and capitals have decided to extend the lockdown and curfews.

Also, in order to control the surge in coronavirus cases, West Bengal declared a complete lockdown in the state.

Important: Air and train travel will remain unaffected, and movement to/from airports and railway stations will be permitted with an ID card and valid ticket/boarding pass.

For Delhi

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal extended the lockdown in Delhi till 24th May. The restrictions have been extended for the fourth time.

Also, COVID-19 RT-PCR testing facility is available at Terminal 3 of Delhi Airport, and all passengers travelling to and from the airport can avail the facility.

For Himachal Pradesh

Himachal Pradesh government extended the coronavirus-induced curfew in the state till 26th May.

Air, train and travel will be unaffected, however, travellers will require an e-pass to enter the state. All movement to/from airports and railway stations will be permitted with an e-pass and valid ticket/boarding pass. Essential services will remain functional.
