8 Indian Destinations Issue New Travel Guidelines
Amid the rising COVID cases, many states have issued new guidelines to keep both travellers and locals safe.
If you are planning to travel this January, please take note of the following rules issued for eight destinations in the country.

All the entrants in Mizoram have to undergo a mandatory screening with a Rapid Antigen Test (RATg) for COVID-19. Only the asymptomatic people will be exempted from this screening, provided that they are carrying –
- A negative RT-PCR test report not older than 72 hours, or
- A certificate of discharge from home isolation or COVID care facility issued by the competent authority within 3 months prior to the date of entry.

Bengaluru
Passengers travelling from Goa to Karnataka need to carry a negative RT-PCR report not older than 72 hours. This is also mandatory for those boarding their connecting flights from Goa. Please refer to the Bangalore Airport’s FAQ page to know the detailed rules.

Odisha
All passengers travelling to Bhubaneswar need to undergo a mandatory RT-PCR test on arrival at the airport, irrespective of their vaccination status.
This order is to come into effect from today i.e. 7th January.

Chhattisgarh
Passengers travelling to Chhattisgarh need to carry a negative RT-PCR report of a test done within 72 hours of arrival at the Raipur Railway Station, Airport and the Inter-state Bus Stand. Otherwise, samples will be collected at these places for testing.
A night curfew has been imposed in Chhattisgarh between 9 pm – 6 am. Hotel, restaurants and food delivery is allowed until 11 pm.

Chandigarh
All non-essential activities are prohibited between 10 pm – 5 am in Chandigarh. Educational institutions & sports complexes will remain closed.
Cinemas, malls, restaurants, etc. are allowed to function with 50% capacity. Indoor gatherings are restricted to 50 people, while outdoor ones can have no more than 100 people.
This new order is to come into effect from today i.e. 7th January.

Bihar
In view of the rising cases, all schools, colleges, coaching centres and hostels will remain closed till 21st January in Bihar. Government and private offices are allowed to function with only a capacity of 50%.

Jharkhand
All the passengers coming to Jharkhand at Ranchi Airport need to undergo a free COVID test on arrival at the airport. Those carrying a negative RT-PCR report not older than 72 hours or the vaccination certificate are exempted from the test.

Puducherry
The malls/markets, cinemas, gyms, salons, parlours and auditoriums in Puducherry are allowed to operate at not more than 50% capacity. Intra and inter-district public transport are to operate at 50% seating until 31st January.
