Booked a hotel but plans suddenly changed? Don’t worry – cancelling your hotel booking on ixigo is simple and seamless. Whether you have made a booking through ixigo app or the website, you can cancel your stay in just a few taps without worrying about reaching the customer care team or calling up the hotel. Here’s how you can do it: 

Step 1: Open the ixigo App or Website

Start by opening your app or visiting the website. Here log in to your account using the same email ID or phone number you’ve used to make the hotel booking. Once you have logged in, go to the ‘bookings’ section to check all your past and upcoming hotel reservations. 

Step 2: Select the Booking You Want to Cancel

Tap on the hotel booking you wish to cancel. Here you will find all the booking details along with payment summary and refund policy. Before you cancel, make sure you’ve reviewed the cancellation policy as mentioned in your booking. Different hotels have different cancellation policies. While some offer free cancellation within a time window, there are few that charge a fee if you cancel.

Step 3: Tap on ‘Cancel Booking’

Once you are done reviewing the refund policies, tap on the ‘cancel booking’ options. After you have confirmed, ixigo will process your request immediately and send a confirmation on your registered email ID and contact number. 

Step 4: Check Refund Details

After you’ve cancelled, you can check your refund amount and the timeline on the app or the email. Refund depends on the hotel’s policies: 

• Instant Refund: For bookings with free cancellation, refunds are processed instantly to your original payment method.

• Partial Refund: If you cancel after the free window, a small cancellation fee may apply.

• Non-Refundable: Some discounted or flash-deal rates may not be eligible for refunds.

This amount typically takes around 3-7 days for the amount to show in your account depending on the payment method and the bank.
